This is Our Comfort
Room.
This is
the place that we go to when we need to be quiet.
To talk to
and visit with our Lord and Savior.
Come and
join us.
Be still and know
that I am God! Psalm 46:10
This is the verse that I must
try to remember most often in my life...Though I do tend to have
difficulty with it.
I tend to rush head first into solving life's problems on my own. I
want action and I want it now !
I forget that I am not "alone". I have the aid of my All Knowing and
All Powerful Lord and Savior.
I do much better when I stop, shut up and listen ! He's always
there.
The Wings You Ride
WHEN I FIRST HEARD THE FOLLOWING SONG
SUNG BY ANNE MURRAY,
I
IMMEDIATELY THOUGHT OF THESE TWO BIBLE
VERSES
Isaiah
40:31 - but those who wait upon the LORD will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.
Psalm 91:4
- He will cover you with
His feather's and under His wings you will find
Refuge;
His faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
I think the song is about a woman
who "lost her man"...any situation can be applied.
There are often times that we feel alone, feel heartache, fear,
depression, etc.
We feel alone, we want to be strong but can't seem to do it on our own.
But when we stumble and fall, all we have to do is "reach" out to God
and use His strength and His protection.
And we can do ANYTHING. YOU
ARE
NEVER ALONE .......
WHEN YOU KNOW THE WINGS YOU RIDE ©
You
were never more strong girl -- You were never more alone
Once there were two, now there's just you -- You're flyin on your own
You were never more happy girl -- You were never oh so blue
Once heartaches begin, nobody wins -- you're flyin on your own.
And
when you know the wings you ride can keep you in the sky
There isn't anyone holding back you
First you stumble, then you fall
You reach out and you fly
There isn't anything that you can't do
You
were never more wise girl -- you were never more a fool
Once you break through -- It's all up to you
Your flyin on your own
You were never more together
You were never more apart
Once pieces of you were all that you knew
You're flyin on your own
And
when you know the wings you ride can keep you in the sky
There isn't anyone holding back you
First you stumble, then you fall
You reach out and you fly
There isn't anything that you can't do.
